- Height of operating gear above platform or top of wall ( C )
- Rising or non-rising spindle
- Whether cover tube is required for rising spindle
- Materials of construction
- Fluid to be controlled (water, effluent, etc.)
- Corrosion protection required
- Dimensioned sketch of structure or gate arrangement
- Whether installation is required
- Any special requirements or conditions
